Promoting local voluntary and community action

We are set up, owned and run by local groups to support, promote and develop the local voluntary sector and community.


We support our members by providing them with a range of services, including a volunteer information point, and by acting as a voice for the local voluntary and community sector.

 If you would like your group to become a member, please download the membership application form available in the Members section and return it to our office.

Working in partnership with local statutory bodies and largely funded by them, the CVS brings voluntary groups together for mutual support to identify local needs and develop ideas for appropriate action.
